The Belarusian State Academy of Music library has a rich history, officially established in 1932 when classes began at the newly established conservatory in Minsk, as reported in the newspaper "Zvyazda" (1932, No. 255). Initially located in the building of the music college, the library was shared with the college's collection.

Today, known as the Music and Scientific Library since 2001, it stands as the largest specialized book depository of musical materials, audio recordings, and book editions in the country, boasting over 217 thousand exemplars, with almost 132 thousand being scores.
