  • La Biblioteca de la Universidad de Valladolid (en adelante BUVa) es una parte esencial y activa del sistema universitario de la Universidad de Valladolid (en adelante UVa). Ofrece una amplia variedad de espacios, servicios y recursos bibliográficos y de información que proporcionan los medios adecuados para el desarrollo del aprendizaje, el estudio, la investigación y las nuevas prácticas docentes en el ámbito de la educación superior en la Universidad, así como en la sociedad en la que está inmersa.
  • La BUVa se concibe como un sistema único, integrado y flexible constituido por la Dirección y servicios centrales, 4 bibliotecas de Campus, 7 bibliotecas de Centro/Área, 2 Bibliotecas generales y el Centro de Documentación Europea.

  • Servicios que se prestan:
    • Orientación e información bibliográfica y de referencia, así como realización de búsquedas generales y especializadas de forma presencial, por teléfono o por medios electrónicos.
    • Espacios y equipos de estudio y trabajo individual o en grupo se facilitará el acceso a espacios y equipos tales como salas de consulta y de trabajo en grupo, ordenadores, red inalámbrica, lectores de microformas, máquinas de reprografía (fotocopias), escáneres portátiles y equipos adaptados a personas con discapacidad funcional.
    • Préstamo a domicilio, reservas y renovaciones de préstamo de las colecciones de la Biblioteca, así como obtención de documentos entre las bibliotecas de la BUVa y préstamo interbibliotecario (con otras bibliotecas nacionales e internacionales).
    • Adquisición de libros, revistas y otros materiales bibliográficos se atenderán las peticiones de compra y suscripción de los documentos necesarios para el aprendizaje, la docencia, la investigación y la gestión.
    • Adquisición y gestión de la bibliografía recomendada para el desarrollo de la docencia.
    • Acceso online a los recursos y servicios electrónicos de la Biblioteca facilitado a través de conexiones a internet y redes inalámbricas de la UVa disponibles también en todas las bibliotecas del sistema garantizando también el acceso off-campus a los recursos de información electrónicos.
    • Edición y comunicación de productos informativos Difusión Selectiva de la información (DSI), Boletines digitales, etc.
    • Preservación y conservación del fondo bibliográfico antiguo restauración y digitalización.
    • Cursos y actividades de formación bajo demanda o por iniciativa propia de la biblioteca, tanto en línea como presenciales, sobre recursos bibliográficos y servicios visitas guiadas, cursos dirigidos a alumnos de Grado, Máster, Doctorado (ESDUVa) o Personal Docente e Investigador sobre los servicios y recursos de la Biblioteca (VirtUVa), así como otras actividades formativas de interés general.
    • Actividades dirigidas a la sociedad clubs de lectura, talleres, exposiciones, iniciativas medioambientales y de integración de las personas.
    • Comunicación e interacción con los usuarios a través de todos los canales de comunicación disponibles en la Biblioteca, y en especial mediante la utilización de blogs y otras redes sociales que constituyen la Biblioteca 2.0.
    • Visibilidad de la producción científica y de conocimiento de la UVa, generada por la Comunidad Universitaria, a través de la gestión del Repositorio Institucional de la UVa.
    • Asesoramiento, apoyo y formación a través del Servicio de la Biblioteca con la Investigación a docentes e investigadores de la UVa en los procesos de publicación, acreditación y sexenios.
    • Gestión de los APCs (Article Processing Charge) coste de los gastos de procesamiento de los artículos, en el marco de los Acuerdos Transformativos firmados por la UVa.
